What year did rap start? – Rock N Learn States And Capitals Rap By Professor Messer

The first ever rap album was released in 1961 by an unknown artist who would go on to become known as the Black Panther, Eazy-E. His first album, Death Row Story, was released in 1962 before his first solo LP. The Black Panther was a prolific producer (he had several mixtapes on the market by this time), but he was no rap god. He used to be known as the Pimp Daddy, but to this day, he is best known for his work with N.W.A.

Rapper Snoop Dogg, born Snoop Lion, was a very successful rapper when he got into the scene, having a huge hit with his song, “Doggy Style.” Snoop was one of the first big rappers to use rap as form of expression, and was also the first rap artist to use sound quality.

After the success of “Doggy Style,” Eminem was born, and he was a huge star in the rap game for many years, producing and rapping his first album, The Slim Shady LP, in 2001. He has a strong reputation, and was the recipient of some of the highest accolades for rap artists in the past.

The year 2000 saw the beginning of Eminem’s downfall, and though his name had long been associated with hip-hop since he was a kid, he went from top of the food chain to one of the most hated names in hip-hop. His first full LP, The Marshall Mathers LP was released, and in it was a full-length documentary called Death To Rap. His career went from good to bad, and his reputation went from that of a rap god to one of the most despised names in hip-hop.

By 2003, Eminem was a household name, with Eminem the #9 best-selling album on the Billboard Top 100. However, a year later, in 2004, his career began to go south again.

In 2004, Eminem had a career high number of album sales, selling over 15 million copies, a record he had set previously but hadn’t achieved since the release of The Slim Shady LP. In 2005, Eminem was again nominated for the Grammy for Best Rap Album, as Eminem would go on to win three (out of eight) awards, the first as a nominee for Best Rap Album. In the following two years, Eminem would be back on the top ten albums list, with his best-selling record, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, topping the list
