You should get your weight down to between 110 and 120 pounds (49 to 56 kg) and get it down to a healthy weight range of about 110 to 120 pounds per 100 pounds in relation to your height.
If you start weightloss too suddenly, your fat will be able to gain back all the excess weight and then get stronger and bigger. In this way you are creating fat in you that can grow back much larger and stronger. If you lose too slowly you may also cause permanent problems – not the easiest way to lose weight.
It is better to be ahead of the game than behind!
Here’s a handy calculator to help you figure out if you ought to lose weight in the year 2012.
A word of warning:
The calculator is not an exact science and it is not scientifically proven that weight loss of 0 to -5 pounds a week is beneficial. The calorie calculator has been used by thousands as a reliable way of measuring calorie needs and is in all likelihood accurate. If you use the calculator, be careful when using it! Do not rely on its recommendations. You can use your own personal experience in making your own decision.
Please do not hesitate to email us if you have a suggestion or a question. Happy weight management!
