A woman in New Jersey went to the hospital, after her 9-year-old daughter was shot in the leg. Police say the shooting was justified and that the shooting victim was resisting arrest and did not know her attacker, according to CBS New York.

The victim later died. Police charged the girl’s father with reckless endangerment and child endangerment. He remained on arrest when he entered a not guilty plea in Brooklyn Municipal Court on Monday.
