Before you buy one, you will have to find out what your specific design needs are so that you can get your tattoo in the way you want it. If you’re looking for a design with your initials on back, this may be a good choice. If you’re looking for a tattoo at a specific location, you may still want to consider the Tattoo Gun, however. Some people think that the ‘G-Gun’ is very aggressive because it does not have a fixed location like the other tattoo guns do and is rather adjustable.
What goes on the ‘G-Gun’?
The device itself (what looks like an iPhone) is made from steel alloy, it has a button on the top (similar to a smartphone). When pressure is applied and the top button is held down, sparks are activated inside the alloy. When the button is not pressed, a small amount of molten metal is released allowing it to be drawn to the ground. In most cases, the metal used to craft a tattoo gun is non-toxic and can be used in other ways. This is especially important as tattoos can burn quickly, and so need to be carefully prepared before they are done. The metallic draw-out in a tattoo is safe and can be safely used if handled safely.
A tattoo gun requires two parts in order to function (or be useful)!
Your tattoo artist needs two things:
1) a battery
2) a USB adapter
These are also supplied with the tattoo gun, as are the other tools you need to get started.
Battery: If you want to make your tattoo gun run, a battery with power for a 1-hour tattoo will do.
Charged via USB? It’s not actually a requirement for the tattoo gun, but one benefit is that you can use the USB adapter plugged into the tattoo gun to charge your phone or other device!
USB Adapter: If you’re using the phone to charge your tattoo gun, some devices require a USB adapter to work. For example, an iPad Mini or iBook or a Kindle can use this and be charged via USB. (See the link below to read more about USB adapters.)
