If your child is 3-5 years old, it is recommended that they start piano lessons as early as possible. To learn to play the piano safely children need to play on an instrument that’s as close to perfect as possible. This means a piano that plays a smooth sound and isn’t too loud and has high quality sound control. It also means that it is set above, between or beside your son’s guitar or bass and not within hearing distance of it. It is also recommended that the child can be taught the piano key, as you will find out in this article.
When should I start piano lessons for my child?
It can be beneficial to start piano lessons as soon as is possible, but your child should never be forced to take lessons as it can be stressful and anxiety-inducing.
If your child has any issues or anxiety you’ll only find out when the teacher starts playing for his or her child, which might take some time for your son or daughter to learn.
It is best to start lessons asap to avoid damaging your child’s psyche by worrying you won’t enjoy the lessons, which they will.
You can also start the piano lessons as soon as is possible (usually once 4 months of age) if you can afford it.
It is recommended that you take your child for piano lessons in the classroom so that you don’t lose track, as the teacher will be a good listener, and you might feel comfortable to listen to the lessons alone, as they can be quite soothing.
